I am writing this on what is effectively my Sunday morning. (Technically, since it's 12:27pm, it's not morning anymore, but I just got up, so damn the semantics.) I have had a nice long weekend, and last night was the first night that I was able to have more than 6 hours of sleep in about a week and a half. Beautiful.
So what have I been up to? Well, the last two weeks I was working a graveyard shift in which I had absolutely nothing to do but play with my new Mac. The only problem with that was that the place that I was working did not have an internet connection. This became a major frustration in that I was using iWeb to completely redesign one of the websites that I publish, and it was not playing nice with the Yahoo servers. After a week of obsessive frustration, I finally decided to just break down and change hosting services from Yahoo to Apple's MobileMe service. I should have just done this to begin with, since Mobile me will actually save me about $50/year, but for some reason, which, in retrospect, is completely unknown to me, I wanted to publish through Yahoo. So I was frustrated for a week and a half. Once I switched to MobileMe, everything worked like a dream. I guess the lesson here is that if you use software for what it was designed for, you get a lot farther than if you try to bend it to your will.
I have also been going to school full-time, which I love. I have a pretty tough quarter - Chemistry 110, Algebra, and Computer Science 101. The Chemistry and the math are pretty intense, but I am really liking the computer science class. I was originally thinking that taking a computer lit course would be a complete waste of my time, since I have quite a bit of experience with computers, but I am actually learning quite a bit and it's been really helpful.
I have also discovered the joy that is Garage Band. I am having so much fun recording that I can hardly contain myself.
Well, that's about all I have to say for now. I just thought I'd give you all a little update on what's been going on with me, and maybe a little insight into why I haven't really had time to rant and rave a whole lot lately. Don't worry, though. I'm sure I'll get right back at it once things settle down a bit.
I hope you all are doing well. Talk to you soon.
I am the Reverend Humpy and I have approved this message.

I'm glad you're digging el Maco. The world is a sexier place with a Mac in tow. And it's crazy to think Garageband comes free with the package, eh? I actually use a combination of Sonar and Reason, but can't hate on GB.
