For the record: Contrary to about 20 years of popular belief, I do not suck at math.
I made that same contention some months ago when I passed an foundational math class geared toward electricians with a 94%, and I would just like to enter some additional evidence to support my claim.
Spokane Falls Community College, Winter Quarter, 2009: I pass Math 92 with a 4.0. I also pass Chemistry 110, and Computer Science 101 with 4.0's in both.
In light of this recent data, I have revised my career plan. When I first looked at a career in teaching I made the decision to work toward teaching high-school level English and history - both subjects that I really enjoy. I also toyed with the idea of teaching high-school physics, because I have also always really enjoyed physics and there is a very big demand for science teachers. Ultimately, however, I decided against the idea because I was under the assumption that with the high level of math involved, a physics major would be too difficult for me.
Well, the data now indicate that the math will probably not be as big a challenge as I previously thought - and so accordingly, physics it is.
Just thought I'd let everyone know.
I am the Reverend Humpy and I have approved this message.
